One Step CloserDo You Really Care – How We Feel – Blinded – Poor Little Macho – Til Lykke Med Dagen (Many Happy Returns Of The Day) – Skyggesiden (The Dark Side) – Think Before We Act – Tortur (Torture) – Green Walls Of Power – It’s So Easy To Ruin – Wake Up

The summer before this Gunnar Nuven (vocals), Børre Løvik (guitar; ex ‘Bannlyst’, also in ‘Stengte Dører’), Per Arne Haugen (bass; ex ‘Bannlyst’) & Finn Erik Tangen (drums; ex ‘Bannlyst’) had finished the recordings for their first album How We Feel (which Gunnar released on his own label X-Port Plater).

I reviewed the record in Tilt! #4: >>This is one of the best records of ’87. Gunnar says one of the reasons to form the band was that they didn’t wanna play typical Norwegian hardcore. Well, I think it has the temperament of Italian hardcore bands: weird guitar-licks, unexpected tempo-changes and a lot of power. Humanitarian lyrics sung wih an emotional, furious voice. Something burns in my chest when I listen to this…<<

They played this Hageland Hardcore gig (87-11-01) together with ‘Ignition’ (USA), ‘Spermbirds’ (Ger), ‘Heibel’ & ‘Ear Damage’ (Bel), the day after I saw them for the first time (in Aalst, 87-10-31). I started a correspondence with Gunnar, helped distribute some of his releases; and we invited the band a couple of times more (88-04-29 & 89-03-25). Good memories!
